Bellingham Gate LLC was formed in 2006 by David Ebenal after several years of studying the overall potential of the Bellingham Bay waterfront. The primary focus included the Georgia Pacific site, Bellwether Peninsula and waterfront properties for environmental clean up and development. In March of 2006 through an extensive selection process Ebenal was chosen as the developer by the Port of Bellingham for the Bellwether on the Bay Phase II development.
Adding to this newly formed public private relationship, the Port of Bellingham and Ebenal pledged to a working relationship to further establish the potential of the Bellwether Peninsula. Special attention to design, view corridors, public access, commercial and public amenities are key to the success of the project.
